Who we are
It all started with a lunch at Dennys. The founders of Lyceum Learning Center found that private and extracurricular education had grown to be too expensive, often with mediocre teaching and vision. We wanted to create something new, something worth attending and talking about. On the back of a napkin, Lyceum Learning Center was born.
The name ‘Lyceum’ harkens back to a bygone era. Upon breaking away from Plato’s tutelage, Aristotle founded Lyceum. It was during this time that he tutored a young Alexander the Great. The modern-day equivalent is what we seek to realize: a community of life-long learners that can apply what is learned through abstract and critical thinking, theory, and practice into real-life, real-world applications. What is learned at Lyceum Learning Center will be able to be applied in every day life from grade school to the professional world.
